  Kona LHe 720p23.98

  Hey everyone,

  We shot a short documentary with the HVX-200. It was shot at 720p23.98. I set up FCP with the Easy Setup and everything works fine within FCP, but I’d like to be able to view it on my external Apple monitor which is connected via the Kona LHe.

  What should I be looking for?

  AJA Kona 720p60 DVCPRO HD 8-bit. DVCPRO HD is a 720p60 compressor…so no matter what the frame rate, that is the viewing option you choose.

  Choose the dvcpro HD 720p 23.98 VFR easy setup.

  Or what he said. More than one way to skin a cat.

  My way allows the footage to play properly on a monitor that might have issues with 23.98 monitoring. Not all HD monitors handle that format well.

  You can’t watch 720 at 23.98.

  Both ways are exactly the same. Choosing the vfr easy setup sets th video output to 59.94. Of you choose the 720p23.98 easy setup without the vfr, you won’t get a picture.
