I have seen that this has been a problem in the past but have not see any posts in about 2 years.

I am having an issue that I’ve had in the past that seems to come and go. Basically, on an Edit to Tape, I get the first frame of my output doubled and therefore everything on the tape will become 1 frame off. My work around has been to begin my output on a black frame 1 frame before my bars and set the in point on the tape 2 frames early. This will double the black frame and bring the bars in at the correct frame. This works alright for assemble edits when I am outputting the entire sequence, but insert edits are impossible.

I am outputting to HDCAM doing an upscale of 720p23.98 to 1080sf23.98. I have the Kona3 7.1 and the deck is HDCAMSR SRW5500. I have FCP 7.0.1 and Quicktime 7.6.3.

Any ideas? I have a call into AJA but they have no clue what might be happening.

    Thanks,
    Mike
