  • any help please!!! non-controllable!!

Both in FCP and in the AJA VTR Xchange Application I have no deck control thru the RS-422 cable that runs out of my AJA card (In final cut pro it says Non-controllable) in the AJA VTR Xchange Application it says: “make sure you are connected to the serial port.” I am sure all my cables are tight. This is the first time I have used this Aja card(cable) cause I’ve just set up a new FCP station. 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel and I have installed the G-Tech 4-Port, PCIe x4 RAID Controller into slot 4….Aja LHi card in slot 2

    please any help!

1 – what format are you trying to capture to?

2 – what VTR are you using?

3 – What Easy Setup are you using in Final Cut Pro?

    HI…thank your for your response.

I am capturing uncompressed 8bit SD

I am using a playback only sony digibeta deck J-30/SDI

the easy setup is the lhi NTSC 8-Bit Uncompressed

but may I also metion that I am having trouble with communication with just the AJA cature application (which has nothing to do with FCP)

Let’s keep this conversation on this thread as the old one is for the LHe.

I would swap your cards around. Kona Slot 3 and storage slot 2.

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers and make sure the firmware updater runs.
