    from the AJA press release
Support for Avid DNxHD QuickTime file playback and video output (KONA 3, LHi and LHe)

DOES THIS MEAN that FCP7 can playback DNxHD Quicktime files, or is this just thru AJA TV, etc.

    Yeah, I’m wondering the same.

FCP 6 can play Avid DNxHD files just fine. No video output via the Kona, but we can play them back just fine. In fact we’ve made entire timelines with that codec and played the entire show down. But not via the Kona.

I guess when I get the new software / drivers installed I’ll have to play with that.

So export a self contained movie and then we’ll be able to play them back via one of those two apps? but not straight in FCP, correct?
