    Hi All,

Sorry of this is a little similar the the last thread – but I am after any resources (online or otherwise) about setting a studio up.

I have the cameras (Sony DSR4 450s), the various mics, and lighting. Also have loads of monitoring, a switcher (mixing desk) – a GVG 200, plus even some talkback (drake 2000). Also in process of acquiring a teleprompter for the cameras too.

But what I need to know is what else I am going to need to sync the cameras up (for horizontal sync, colour etc.), basically how to engineer the whole sha-bang!

I am only a basic editor, so my knowledge of this type of thing is limited, although I feel confident I have a good basic grasp of most techie terms.

Hope someone can help, as I have been looking for ages on internet and found nothing.

    Xav

There are broadcast engineering consultants available in the baack of/online marketplace of TV Technology Magazine every month. Such consulting engineers are usually found or referenced from large rental shops as well, if you are in a big town. Or maybe you need to refine your net search terms. Maybe start by looking up the state or city Film Office in the largest market near you. They’ll often have a resource site on the web. Look for “broadcast engineering consultants” in various combinations as well. As a last resort, contatc the engineering department at your locat TV station and ask the Chief Engineer there who he recommends locally for this kind of work.
