clear this up please
is it pronounced AJA as in “ay – jay – ay” with long “a” sounds…or is it something more exotic like “aah – jaah” with the schwa sound… seriously two of my competitors almost came to blows (over beers of course, slow time for the holidays)… yea other issues between them…
if we could just settle the bet, please

even though the name is ay-jay-ay, I like what you just described.
Perhaps WE should change this (who cares what John Abt wants !). Let’s setup a boxing ring at NAB2009 in the “ay-jay-ay” booth, serve beer, and FIGHT (a brawl) over what the new pronunciation of AJA is.
What a great idea. And then, we can go over to the Blackmagic booth, and tear down their sign !Oops – I got a little excited there.

I remember an AJA rep on a video for NAB say A-J-A and have told people for years it’s not ah-jah. They insist on calling it like the Steely Dan album. Oh well…
…now we’ll work on Lacie and Brevis. 🙂
