  480Hz monitors

  Sorry for the off topic post, but do any of the engineering pros here have an opinion on 480Hz monitors?
  A friend of mine (non-pro) asked me about it, and to my knowledge I only knew of 120Hz monitors (Panasonic, etc.). Smoke and mirrors? Marketing? or the real thing?

  did some research… appears to be mostly consumer marketing hype.
  but I welcome any opinions if anyone has any.
