Kona 3 vs ???
The Kona 3 has all the options I need to do a couple short films I am producing this fall, and I was planning on getting one soon. Just curious if there is a serious competitor to the model that I should research, or should I just price compare, purchase, and not look back? Thanks.

the digital voodoo 64AV would be wonderful for your new film, as would a Pinnacle Cinewave card – I bet there are lots of people on this very forum that would love to sell you one at a VERY good price.

You can’t really beat the Kona 3 for what it does.
It’s the king of capture cards on the mac.

If for no other reason than UPCONVERSION and CROSS CONVERSION, this is absolutely true.

if you look down you’ll see I came up with a solution
for my 720P 60fps capture issue.not very elegant but it works.
