Hello Everyone!
I am absolutely new to the world of CG and Design and I recently stumbled upon this wonderful forum. I want to study further and enter the motion graphics and broadcast design field. I have knowldge of software like aftereffects, photoshop, illustrator and maya.
Right now I am in a process of working on my portfolio for further studies in motion graphics and broadcast design and I need help to create a multimedia (.mov file) displaying my previous work. It comprises of logos, illustrations, sketches, magazine layouts, print ads., typography and basic 3d animation in maya.
Please help me as to how I should compile my work as a .mov file not more than 3 minutes, as I have no idea as to how do I go about it. I would really appreciate that. Thanks.

My advice would be to start looking at reels, then you’ll start seeing what works and what doesn’t work. The most important thing is to revise your reel continually as you improve, and be ruthless about getting rid of things that don’t work. You could start looking at the demo reel forum here at Cow.
