Problems with rs-422 and digi
Looks like our aja has a problem with remote on the digibeta. The remote works for a very short time, but then it suddenly stops working, and I have no control of my digibeta. It has worked for months but suddenly stopped being cooperative (maybe after an update ? )I have tried reinstalling the drivers. Any secret stuff that I don’t know about ?
Latest version of everything.. fcp.. ajadrivers .. And this is PAL.

A bad RS422 cable ? Use AJA VTR XChange instead of FCP for your tests.

Strange. After installing the second latest version (we run tiger), everything works out about 10 seconds, but then the aja card loses contact with the digibeta… video and sound works (through sdi), but remote does not. I am totally lost here.. Any idea what the problem could be ? (do I have to use ref.video ? How should that be patched.)
Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I am used to decklink
(quad core.. fcs 2.0.. xsan.. digibeta.. pal)

I don’t have an answer for you. Black Ref will help with locking up your system, channel error conditions on the Digi bEta, etc, but not with RS422 control. I would have to take a look in person. I don’t know what to suggest, (other than to reload your AJA drivers again – and try a different VTR).
