  Quick LH down convert/capture question

  Is it possible to crop while down converting on capture with an LH? I want to capture via component from a Canon A1 to SD D1 and just lop off both sides, or do I have to capture anamorphic and crop it in FCP? Compressor? What are the options?

  In the Kona control panel, check the formats tab and find a label marked ‘down’. Change it to crop instead of anamorphic or letterbox.
