On my Kona LH control panel, there’s a timecode tab, am I correct in assuming it reads TC off a source or does it generate it? If it reads it, it would be through RS422, no?

I am looking for a way to dub from a Canon A1 HDV camera to something a client can use with TC and do it in one step. My DVX 100 lets me show the TC window, it can be put up the code via Firewire or composite out, doesn’t seem to be a way to get the Canon to do that.

Suppose I’ll just have to capture it all and add a TC reader or let Compressor do it.

If you turn this on, then when you open AJA TV and output a clip that way, it has burned in TC. That is all it does.
