    Hi,

    Weird thing…

We’re working with a VFX group that uses Combustion on the PC for compositing. We gave them a bunch of KONA clips and they downloaded the software codec from AJA.

All the footage seems to have elevated setup levels and/or a gamma shift…

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help…

What are you basing the shift on? Actual scopes or just the look on the monitors? PC standard gamma is 2.2, Mac standard gamma is 1.8, so depending on how your monitors are set up, things will look different.

just found the answer on the apple site. it appears it IS the 2.2 to 1.8 deal. What’s curious is that the KONA for PC codec doesn’t take this into account….
