    Many thanks

that is not the use, that TC control allows for TC burn in.

the TC sync to a deck is done thru the REF in from a TC generator.

    Thanks Gary

I really didn’t explain myself well. OK, the timecode burn in (I assume on the way in), I can therefore ref that with timecode received via RS422 to determine whether I have to implement the use of timecode offsets or not? This is what I meant by calibrating, not synchronizing. Apologies for my confusion.

Is this the best way to calibrate the VTR with my system?

    Many Thanks

    Simon
