Any opinions or experience with this unit? CalDigit S2VR
I need to finish building another edit station and decided to abandon the SCSI routine.

    Second system is a dual 2Ghz G5
    3 GB of Ram
no cards yet, but most likely a Kona LH or a AJA IO.
Since the G5 is older, I don’t want to dump a ton of money into it, but I want it to be ready for broadcast projects, graphics station, logging, digitizing, and more important, a solid backup to my main system.

    Thanks
    Ron

I’m purchasing a CalDigit 3TB HD 10 Disk Array this week. I’ll let you know once I’ve attach it to my G5 Dual 2.5 GH machine with my Kona 3 card. Should be interesting with this fairly inexpensive RAID solution.

I almost went for a Promax SATA solution until I saw this a few months ago.
    Look forward to your review.

Ya, I bought the SRV2HD 1.5TB Great product. Well built/solid. Reliable. The PCI card comes w/ it and it pop right in and worked. Best price to GB ratio IMHO
I would recommend them. Great guys to work with too.

    Thanks Chris….goood to hear!

For the price, it almost makes you wonder why Medea and Huge don’t have similar products out!
