I am looking at upgrading my mac to a new generation G5. Will my KONA LS card, which is a PCI card, work in the new PCI express slots on the quad g5’s?

nope – you need the Kona LSe. And if you have a storage card, like an ATTO UL3D or UL4D, it won’t work either – you need the UL5D. Every manufacturer was affected by this. But don’t worry – the new MAC’s will be out soon, and everything will get outdated again.

My money is on Arnie – just becuase they use PCI Express does not mean that the cards will work – certainly not without firmware updates at least.
