Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the latest Kona drivers? I have a Kona LH and am still using the 1.2 drivers, and want to know if I should install the latest ones.

    Thanks,

If you’re in the middle of a project, don’t update as you should never update anything mid project unless you’re having a lot of problems.

When you’re done, go ahead and update. Running the driver on both a Kona 2 and Kona 3 system here. no isuses.

I am running the Kona 2 drivers with no issues. To me it seems that AJA tests their drivers well prior to release. I have never had a major issue after an upgrade.

Walter’s advice is great advice, and I would add that you might want to

    1. repair permissions
    2. use carbon copy clooner to clone your system drive (do this if you plan on restoring back to what you had)
    3. Install new drivers
    4. Repair permisions

Thanks guys. Seem to always be in the middle of a project here! I just think that some of the easy setups are messed up on the old drivers, but that is a very minor issue. I will wait till we have some down time here.

    Best,
