  SD Archive & DVCProHD 720p 29.97 workflow question

  I am going to edit a documentary which will be mostly shot on a varicam at 720p 29.97fps.
  About 10 percent of the programme will be archive – 1970’s 4:3 now on NTSC digibeta.

  This is my 1st HD project – I have to produce a 1080 HD master at 29.97fps. Very little fx work needed – just titles and colour corrections.
  What would be the best method, settings and framerate to capture and edit the two different sets of rushes at? How should I master it for best results?

  I am using FCP 5.0.4, Kona LHe 1.2.1. with 2.4 TB scsi raid storage. Capturing from Panasonic HD12200A and Sony Digibeta.
  Any thoughts would be most welcome.
