  702p24 -> 1080p24 convert

  Aloha,

  Will any of the AJA products convert 720p24 to 1080p24?

  While features are added regularly, so far you can’t do a realtime upconvert from 720P to 1080P. You can however drip a 720P into a 1080P uncompressed sequence, scale to sequence, render and output. Takes a while but looks pretty good.

  the best current way is to run in and out of a panasonic 1200a deck. it looks awesome.

  It does look good, but it’d now be 1080i, not 1080p.

  i know i have done this before, i think the 1200a can play out 1080p and the kona can capture that. so you can take 1080i on the panasonic and play out 1080p which the kona can capture. did i have late night hallucinations from staring at LCDs? i do have the 1080p footage on a drive and i dont have viper!

  Is this all in 24p? So I imagine you are removing the pulldown upon capture of the 1080i material? I guess that would work!
