  Kona 3 or Kona 2

  Well I think I am at the end of my Cinewave journey–CW doesn’t like my new XRaid drive. And like many CW orphans Kona will be my new home. Looking for advice on which card I should get and any potential hiccup I might encounter.

  My System:
  Dual 2.5Ghz G5
  4GB or RAM
  XRaid stripped to Raid 50
  Beta SP 1800 and Panasonic AH-93 Deck

  I do mostly SD stuff, but wouldnt mind having the ability to do HD. I need Component and SDI in/out.

  Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

  you need an AJA I/O. In the future, you can buy the Kona 2 or Kona 3. The Kona 2 is for PCI-X computers, and the Kona 3 is for PCI Express computers.
  The AJA I/O works with both, and it will do composite, component and SDI. It will also act as an upconverter to HD for you when you get the Kona later on.
