    Hi all,

    i have G5 Dual 2.7, Kona 2, huge system and Digital betaacam VTR,
    i usualy use the FCP Uncommpresed 10 bit, but i’m asking now
    is the AJA KONA codec better than FCP codec ?
    if yes, what is the best codec i have to use ?

    I have been testing the sheer video codec with anlalog HD captures and it is pretty sweet.

    It does have a major side effect(at least with HD, have not tried SD), the playback via the Kona analog outs (and maybe sdi) is too slow so you have to turn that off in FCP.

    Otherwise, based on what I have read, I would use the Kona codec(s) except for exports. You may want to export in something others are likely to be able to play.
