    OK

I have captured video with my Kona 2 on a Mac using the DV setting. It looks great in FCP on the Mac but when I export using current settings an don’t recompress is looks terrible in quicktime on a PC. The same exported clip looks great in FCP on the Mac. Also if I export the footage using the 8bit codec it looks great on both the PC and Mac. What is going on? Why does the same clip look great in FCP and terrible in Quicktime on a PC?

You might have to enable high quality viewing in quicktime on the PC, and what exactly so you mean by terrible?

I forget exactly how to do it, but it’s something about opening the movie properties and finding the tickbox that says “Enable High Quality” or something like that.

This is an educated guess, and is from a long buried memory. SOrry if the details are shady.
