  Moving a project

  Hey guys-
  I need to move a Premiere project from one computer to mine, but the media is scattered to the wind all over her machine. It is a rather long project, so I need to consolidate the media on the output.

  What is the best way to save the project after removing all the unused media in order to get a copy of all the USED media saved to a folder, so she can hand me a hard drive.

  if you were doing this in after effects, i’d select the final comps (the comps that i would want to render) in the project window, then choose file>dependencies>reduce project to remove all unnecessary pre-comp, footage (including images and audio) and solids.

  then i’d choose file>dependencies>collect to move copies of all the required elements into a new folder, with a copy of the project.

  not sure with premiere though

  Oh darn. Wrong Forum. My bad (usually when I have an Adobe question its in AE… force of habit. I’ll post in the right forum.
