  after effects renders with alpha

  anyone know of an after effects render setting that allows renders with an alpha channel to be brought into an aja timeline without requiring rendering back in fcp? i have a 60 minute movie with alpha which i’d rather not have to render if possible.

  It seems that with the new driver for the Kona 2 you can output one stream with alpha and then lay it over the other stream in real time. But then you would have to output it to tape via the Kona 2. But I’m really not sure about this. But since it is a 60 minutes thing it might be worthwile to get into it
