  16×9 format to 4×3

  Hello Is there a wat to lay of a 4×3 center crop using the kona 2 in real time. The original footage is 16×9 and they need both versions. Thanks in anvance I should say back to a pal digibeta.

  Is the original format HD?

  If yes, then yes. Go in to the Kona 2 control panel put a downconverter on one of you sdi and hook that up to your digitbeta.

  Click on the format tab and change the down conversion drop down menu to ‘crop’.

  No it is pal digibeta. straight digibeta 16×9 to 4×4 center crop real time? If not do I have to copy paste into a 4×3 line and render??

  Sort of. Drag your entire 16×9 sequence from the browser into a new 4:3 sequence, then scale up the nested sequence to your liking and render.
