I’ve noticed a small luminance shift on my external HD monitor when I play the clip. When the clip is paused it’s brighter and when I hit play it gets darker. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a work around? Thanks.

Did you ever get a response? Both of our AJA systems do this (KonaSD and i/o LD). I’ve just learned to live with it, but fixing it would be nice.

The workaround for the AJA IO is that you turn off you overlays(Timecode,etc.). I have not found a work around for the Kona yet.

This piqued my interest so I did some experimenting. If I switch to “Render in RGB” that fixes it (this is with DV source and seq), while using the 8 bit output setting. Or I can switch to 10 bit output and then set to YUV render and that fixes it, but then I get lots of dropped frames.

This is on the i/o LD. I will try the overlay trick.
