I am using the SDI Output from the 1200A to the Kona 2. I have a 2.4 TB Xserve Raid. When I go AJA 720p 59.94 10 bit Uncompressed, I keep getting “Searching for Timecode Break,” when capturing. When I go 720p 59.95 DVCProHD it works great, but I would really like to go uncompressed. Does anyone know if this is a Kona 2, an Xserve or FCP problem? Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

It’s a 1200A problem. I get the exact same thing when digitizing from my 1200A, especially when I’m doing batch captures of 5 or more clips at a time. As soon as I see that error, I hit ESC to stop the capture and then just start it right back up.

This will happen with both Firewire and RS-422 control. It’s a product of Panasonic doing a “super duper” dumb down of the electronics on the machine.

Problem is right! I took your advice and hit escape every time and I got through all 10 tapes going with the DVCPro HD setting in FCP. I guess the Xserve raid needs to be full (mine is only half full) in order to go uncompressed 10 bit.

    Thanks for the help!
