  • Enable “watch folder” render (grayed out)

    Hi folks –

I am trying to send my comps to another workstation that is ready to pick them up in its own watch folder. The problem when I try to collect files is that the checkbox ‘Enable “watch folder” render’ is grayed out.

Does anyone know why that might be the case?

Thanks in advance for your infinite wisdom.

You need to have projects set up and ready to render in the render queue of the file you’re saving.

These comps output modules need to output to a sequence format (psd sequence, tga sequence, pict, etc.) not a Quicktime format.
Also they need to have “skip existing files” checked.

There are Multi-Machine settings factory-available, best to start from those and add for example field-rendering etc manually.

OK – I’m an idiot. Thank you so much for clarifying. The most obvious thing never seemed to occur to me ( that the comp needed to be in the render queue).

    Anyway, Thanks again.
