  Steam in After Effects

  Hi,

  I’m looking at creating a steam effect in After Effects and possibly Particular but I haven’t been able to find exactly the right effect. Very often the effects behave more like smoke than steam and they don’t quite have the physics I need.

  Basically in the shot I’m working on someone pours boiling water on someone laying face down on the floor and the steam is rising from the persons back ( he has a shirt on )

  I’ve looked at the dynamics of the steam by replicating the setup and I guess an option might be to film the steam but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

  Thank you Johnny. I have seen these but I wasn’t sure if there were any others around. Again I think it’s maybe a matter of trying them out and tweaking them to fit. Thanks for the quick response.
