  Unable to restore files from LTO-5 Tape in Bru PE

  So, I’ve recently (two days ago) archived files to a LTO-5 tape and, of course, now someone wants data from it. I loaded the tape, selected the files to restore and hit restore. The software checked the tape and spit it back out, saying it was the wrong tape. It’s not. So, tried again with the same results. Triple checked that I had the right labeled tape. Identified the tape in Bru PE and it sees it as the correct tape. Re-imported the tape (which seem to go way too fast) and still no luck. Re-verified the tape and still no luck.

  Anyone run into this or have any advance on what I can do?

  Did you use LTFS format or the BRU one?

  If you used LTFS, just load it in another LTFS software to check for the files.

  If in the BRU format…. contact BRU support.
