  90 Degree camera Rotation to Greenscreen

  I tried finding an answer, but I’m new to using AE and might not be searching for the correct thing.

  I want to replace a hallway with another shot to imply a different room than what’s actually there. I went ahead and set up a quick green screen to show what I mean. I’ve attached a GIF below.

  

  Do I even need a green screen for this shot if I’m replacing a space with no one in the foreground? What’s the best way to have this second layer (room) replace the green screen in this camera movement?

  With the hard edges of the door, no, you don’t need a green screen. Green screens are used to remove pixels from video, you could easily do that with a mask that tracks the door. The benefit of using a green screen there, is that you won’t have to do any tracking.
