  LTO6 – Archiving Big Projects

  Hi,

  We have recently started using LTO archiving in the office. We have an mTape LTO6 drive over thunderbolt and we use PreRollPost.

  My question is, if we have an 8TB project, for example, how should I archive it? Just divide it into 4 blocks of 2TB (approx) manually or let PreRollPost handle the whole project? What if I have to retrieve different files, how is that going to work, will PRP tell me which tape to use?

  I’m sorry if this was asked before on the forum but I couldn’t find it.
