  • APS Battery Backing up a Mac Pro and Pegasus Raid

    Hi there,

Can someone help me with the proper hook up to a mac pro and a pegasus raid to an APS? I noticed on the back of the APS there are different outlets marked as battery back up, surge protection, and master.

My assumption was that all the outlets would be backed up by the battery? Ideally if I lost power I would want my raid and mac pro to stay on. But if that isn’t the case, what would you recommend for a proper hook up?

    Thanks!

Only the plugs marked with the battery are backed up in case of power outage.

The others are just like a surge protector.

Be aware that for proper coverage of your RAID system, you should have a minimum of 1,250VA of power. Otherwise, you may find that the RAID draws down the battery before the Mac can safely shut down.
