  Problem with rendering

  Hi guys, I’m pretty new to this.
  I’ve been messing about after watching a tutorial putting some optical flares with smoke in front of a 3d background. Everything looks good until I press render and the background disappears. I have made the flares transparent. I’ll post a screenshot below. Any help would be really appreciated.

  Did you turn the background into a guide layer? You can check that, by right clicking the layer and if you see a check mark next to guide layer, click it again to remove the check.

  Guide layers are layers you drop into a project just for reference, but they don’t render—-like a grid you create to line up items.
