    Hi

I have some problems with our Qnap NAS.

On our Nas we save the finished files, in Prores 422 (HQ) full length movies in HD so the files are about 150 Gb.

I know you cant edit a Prores file on the network with for ex JES or change channel audio flagging.

But now I dont seem to be abel to even change the name on the file without creating a Digital error in the movie, usually around 1 to 2 min in.

I think this is somehow related to rights management BUT if anyone have any Ide that could save my sanity I would be grateful.

    THANKS

Some more info about the system.

    Qnap TS-809u with a 4.0.2 System

We are using MacOS 10.6 and .7 and .8 and .9 to access and some win 7 machines.

    Thanks

    Did this get resolved?

If not, then here’s a suggestion.

Quicktime movies, when altered in any way that changes the header, could get corrupted and unusable if the QT file resides on a non MacOSX file system, and/or the QT file is on a network device which is using an non AFP protocol (NFS/SMB etc)
