  exactly how fast is a Thunderbolt 3 RAID ?

  Well, it looks like Netstor is showing the first results – this is a RAID 0 24 drive SSD RAID on Thunderbolt 3 –

  so 2600 MB/sec, which is about 1000 MB/sec faster than a typical PCIe 16 bay RAID array, and about
  double the speed of a 16 bay RAID 0 Thunderbolt 2 array (a Thunderbolt 2 RAID 6 array with 16 drives is about
  1100 MB/sec).

  How will thunderbolt 3 perform with conventional 6G SATA drives in a RAID ? I have no idea.
