  Medea VideoRAID RTRX Strange Issues

  Hi Everyone!

  I have an older Medea VideoRAID RTRX (the rack mount 10 drive unit). I am connecting it to a Mac OS 9 G4 QuickSilver via a ATTO UL3D SCSI Card. Each side of the RAID is connected to a separate channel on the UL3D card so that I can get the speed for the CineWave HD system. I am using SoftRaid 2.2.2 to strip the two volumes. Everything works well…..once. Once I reboot I have to connect with serial to each side of the raid and run through the config again. Once that is done and I reboot the Mac all is well again. My drive reappears with the data still on it. I noticed that when I power down the RAIDs and power them up the clock is wrong (after I set it). I removed the controller and did not see a battery or anything. Am I missing something? Does anyone know why this is not working properly?
