  Need to preformat a replacement disk in a Promise Raid?

  Hi,

  I have a Promise Pegasus R6 that is now out of warranty and has a failing drive. Promise confirmed I would have to buy a drive off of their approved list and install it myself. I am fine with that but it is not clear whether I need to pre-format the drive (this is an iMac on OS10.7) or whether the rebuild process will do that.
