  Promise Pegasus2 R4 8TB Support

  Hi everyone,

  I was just editing away using a Promise Pegasus2 R4 8TB RAID drive (named Leviathan) and when I restarted my mac OSX desktop, it gave me a message saying “OS X can’t repair the disk ‘Leviathan’ – You can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can’t save changes to files on the disk. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can”. I also witnessed my FCPX library going down from 400GB last night to 81 MB this morning. All of my footage is still on the drive, but the library is unable to open. When I try clicking on it I get a message saying “The document ‘Segment’ could not be opened. Read-only file system”. Does anyone know what I should be doing?

  YES, I know what to do –
  call Promise tech support, and ask them what to do. Here is their phone #. Please tell us how Promise support was when you called them.
