  suggestion for a DAS

  we need a DAS for a Mac pro 2009, we use ProRes 422 HQ 50p, and need aprox 30tb.What hdd you recommend? we are almost convinced the hitachi ultrastar 7k3000 HUA723020ALA640

  the first option is RR2744, is cheap and seems to have quite acceptable performance for our needs. but is not a hardware raid. also if we find we need more ej220 hdd at an attractive price, and have 8 hdd per port.

  today we use a rr2314, originally from g-tech, with 17 hdd, for DVCPRO HD works fine but not with ProRes

  thanks for your answer, in a little searching I found a distributor but more expensive than arc-1882ix-16 imported.

  some sas extender compatible with the ATTO R680?, 8 ports * 3tb = 24tb and we need at least 30TB
