Medea Raid Upgrade
I wasn’t sure where to post this but I imagine a few people in the community might still have Medea FC drives. We have an 8-drive (2TB total) dual 2gb FC Medea raid. My question is.. How well do these cabinets work if we put 8 new 1-2TB drives in it? Good / bad idea?

Before I get drilled here I have asked our reseller the same question how didn’t recommend it as support from AVID (since they bought Medea) is less than sub-par from his experience. Still for me it would be interesting as the kabinett with a FC-card performs quite well (330MB/s or so now with RAID-5 in a 2TB volume). So if anyone has any experince or might just back-up my reseler, do tell 🙂
