  Usecases of SAN

  Hello
  I’m very new to storage side I just want to know the use cases of SAN.PLEASE help me out

  simple. You have multiple users with computers that need to edit all the video footage that you own. So you buy a shared storage system, so that you don’t have to make copies of all the video footage on small hard drives, and give them to each editor.

  This way, you can have several people editing your show, one person working on the audio, one person working on the graphics, your assistants logging the new footage that comes in from the production shoot – all at the same time, all on the same big hard drive.
