Bending/arcing 2d layers
Heyo,
I’m working on a project in CS5.5 where I have a piece of vector art (a silhouette of Santa and his reindeer with the background keyed out) and the image is horizontally straight. I simply want to bend it in 2d space so that it is a shallow arc. I’ve tried cc bend it but that effect somehow bends part of the image out of view.
I’m not sure this is a basic question, but it feels like one. Is there a way to do this without an expensive plugin?

Okay, I figured it out.
Warp in the distort effects and then just adjust the amount. Problem solved.

In case you’re not getting exactly what you wanted, try the mesh distortion. A lot more control there, including the ability to warp small portions of your frame.
