managing organizing logging external drives
Hello,
I’m up to 6 external drives onsite — some for active work some backups — and 3 external drives offsite (backups in a safe deposit box). Plus internal drives in 3 laptops.Physical labels help, but I’m losing track of what these drives are, what they’re called, and what is on one each one.
Trying to get a little more organized, I made up a log/list of all the drives with info about each — size, names, content, location, etc.
My partner also keeps a log of even more external drives cause she needs to know the location of many movie files and projects.
Can anyone share a useful system for logging/listing the external drives they use?
