  Older system warranty extension?

  Hi,

  Have an older (4 years) Isilon cluster and need to cover for the coming year, but there is no way I’m paying Isilon’s prices, what next?

  buy a newer cheaper system. What are you looking for – a support person that will sell you a personal Isilon contract that is cheaper than Isilon ? Drives today – entire shared storage systems, are dirt cheap compared to the old days. I bet an entire new system will cost less than the Isilon support contract.
