  Post-Production Storage Solution

  Hey everyone!

  So we’re a really small (5 person) Video production/creative studio and it’s long overdue we get serious about storage. I’m curious to know from anyone with more knowledge than me if and how I can make this work.

  What we want:

  I’d like to be able to hook up our three edit bays to a shared storage solution that can give them 10Gb speeds while also having the option for our other Macs in the office to periodically have access as well.

  What we have:

  3 edit bays: 2 Mac Pros & an iMac

  1 Promise SANlink 3 – thunderbolt 3 to 10gbe adaptor

  1 QNAP QVS-871 w/ 10gbe adaptor

  Is it doable with what we have here? What solutions do you have that works? We have budget set aside so if our setup doesn’t work, I’d love to hear what will.

  if your list is accurate, you own everything you need to accomplish exactly what you want.
  the QNAP model # that you listed is incorrect –
  you have a TVS-871T, not a QVS-871

  how can you make this work ? Simple. You hire someone to help you.
