  • Prepare files and folders for MAM implimentation

We have gone through our whole organization and consolidated all our video assets into 1 folder. We have done a high-level sweep and removed some duplicates.

What is the best way to prepare our data for ingestion?
Can we use folder structure to generate tags or metadata? Is that a good idea?
How should we handle non-standard folder naming schemas? (some of our folders have non-standard names)
What are some no-brainer things we can do to prepare for ingestion?
How does the ingestion process handle duplicate files?

We are considering Videxplore, Cantemo and CatDV as our MAMs, what are your experiences with them in terms of managing libraries?
