My USB crashed!!
Posted by Derricks Scott on May 18, 2016 at 9:24 amMy USB crashed and I had to reformat the card. Is there any way to recover photos? I tried a few free programs but they either crash or just don’t work.

May 18, 2016 at 7:00 pmYou can try Disk Rescue or Disk Drill. I think they both run about $100. I think Disk Drill lets you do a test scan for recovery. It’s likely all file names will be lost, but the files may be there. Just depends.

May 23, 2016 at 5:11 amThank you for suggestion.I took the help of a third party software, however that was a different one. Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery Software did its job this time but i will definitely give Disk Drill a shot in near future!

If you are looking for the free option then you can go for Stellar Phoenix Windows data recovery – Free Edition. This tool is available at free of cost and recover number of different file formats. I believe it will help you out.
