  Drawing Freehand with Pen Tool?

  I was wondering if there is a way to draw freehand with the pen tool in After Effects for creating masks and/or shape layers. I’m looking for a feature like the pencil tool in Illustrator, where I can draw freehand and the application figures out the most appropriate bezier points. I’m good with bezier-ing and have been making illustrations with bezier tools for years, but every once and a while I want a more irregular line, and right now I’m having to do it in illustrator and copy the path over.

  Is there a way to draw freehand natively in AE?

  Use the Brush tool.
