  Logging/tagging sound layers in a separate (Adobe) application? text markers on layer

  You can drop markers on an audio layer while listening to it, but then you have to go back and add the text tags in a rather laborious fashion.
  
  I was wondering if there’s a better tool for this, preferably from the Adobe Creative Cloud, that would easily allow me to put markers into a file. Like maybe Audition.
